    JOIN US FOR THE FIRST hoohaah HERITAGE 10K ON 12TH SEPTEMBER 2021

    Join us for our first ever 10k race around the grounds of the Old Warden Estate – home to the historic Shuttleworth Collection which includes the oldest flying aeroplane in the world.  This traffic free race follows trails through woodland and the surrounding parkland with fantastic views of Shuttleworth House.

    • Minimum Age: 15yrs (as at 12/09/2021)
    • Start Time: 10:00am (unless waved starts).
      Please note if we deem it necessary to introduce waved start times due to Covid your start times will be based on your estimated completion time which you will supply during the registration process.
      Wave 1 starts 09:00am, Wave 2 starts 10:15am. Detailed race information and (if necessary) details of your allocated wave will be sent w/c 6th September.)

    • Entry Fees (per ticket type): £21.00 (Early Bird £19.00 until midnight 30.06.21)

    • Event Cancellation & Refund Policy: We want you to book with confidence so, if this event can no longer go ahead, and an alternative date isn’t found, you will be offered a virtual run or a refund of your entry fee. (Booking fees are non-refundable)

    Registration from 08:30am for 10:00am Race Start

    If Wave Starts are in place –

    Wave 1 Registration from 07: 45am to 08:45am

    Wave 2 Registration from 09:00am to 10:00am

    There will be an online race briefing made available before the event, it is mandatory to have watched this as there will be no pre-race briefing on the day.

    Please arrive in sufficient time to collect your race number.

    Shuttleworth is nestled in rolling countryside and some moderate hills form part of the course. The course covers trails and grass – areas may be muddy and all terrain running shoes are advisable.

    Km markers and marshals will be posted along the route.

    Throughout our 10 years of race organization runners have never failed to heap praise on our volunteer marshals – they are a tremendous team many of whom return year on year to help us.

    Custom designed medal for all finishers to be collected at the end of the race!

    Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers, and the first male and female in the following categories (over45, over55 and over 65)
    There will be no prizegiving ceremony, unless COVID restrictions allow, so trophies will be posted out.

    There will be full results on the chip timing website both overall and by category.

    Health
    It is important that you are fit to run and have not experienced any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days leading up to the event.

    Parking
    Ample green field parking is available at the venue.

    Toilets, Changing and Bag Storage
    Portable toilets will be located close to the race start.  We will not be providing a changing area, therefore please come changed and ready to race. There will be a baggage area.

    Dogs allowed?
    While we love dogs and have them ourselves we do not allow runners to run with their dog.

    Wheelchair suitable?
    The terrain is not suitable for wheelchair users

    Buggies allowed?
    The terrain is not suitable for buggies.

    Water Stations
    There will be no water stations on the route (you will need to carry any liquids you need). There will be water available, self-service style, at the finish.

    Headphones
    In line with England Athletics guidelines, the use of head/earphones is strictly prohibited as you will not be able to hear marshals’ safety instructions or other warnings.  Sections of the course are also fairly narrow and you could be a danger to yourself and other runners if you fail to hear them approaching to overtake.  The wearing of head/earphones will lead to disqualification.

    Refunds
    hoohaah do not offer transfers or deferrals for this event. If you are unable to attend due to illness, injury, family bereavement, jury service you will only be eligible for a refund on production of official evidence: Positive Covid-19 test result, Doctor’s note, Death Certificate etc.

    Event Cancellation
    If the event should have to be cancelled due to reasons beyond hoohaah’s control (for example, severe weather, local or national lockdown) entrants will be given a range of options to choose from, which will include a refund of their entry fee (excluding booking fee).

    Your details will kept in accordance with the Active Training World Privacy Policy

    The details of the athlete I am entering into this race will be passed onto the event organisers for the administration of the race.

    The athlete’s name and date of birth and the email address of the person completing the booking form will be passed onto the chip timing company. Personal details will be deleted 1 week after the event.

    Where specified on the booking form, any medical information provided will be passed onto the medical team present at the event.

    1) I take full responsibility for ensuring the athlete I am entering into this race is medically fit to compete & understand that they compete entirely at their own risk or at the risk of their parent/guardian.

    2) I understand that all athletes who participate in this event, do so at their own risk or the risk of their parent/guardian and that no person(s) or organisation(s) will be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss to the competitor, prior to, during or after the event.

    3) I understand the organisers reserve the right to alter the arrangements and conditions, should circumstances require.
